The Board discussed salary levels of the Town Accountant, Treasurer/Collector, Building Inspector and Health Agent. Discussion concerned the additional adjustments above and beyond the evaluation as well as discussion limiting the increase of the Building Inspector to 3% due to concerns surrounding the certification issue. In addition, the Board discussed limiting to 3% the increase for the Health Agent, although recognizing the increase in hours to full time. The Board also discussed holding to 3% the increase for the Director of Elder Affairs. Motion made by Jones that the Board would recommend to Town Meeting a salary amount for the Town Accountant representing a 4.3% increase of $46,836; Treasurer/Collector a 4.2% increase, $48,462; the Building Inspector a 3% increase to $37,389;
the Director of Elder Affairs a 3% increase to $37,384; and the Health Agent a 3% increase to $17.56 per hour for a 35 hour week. 2nd by Kuchinski. Voted 5-0.
The Board further requested that the Treasurer/Collector postpone the comment period for Boards to respond to her potential list of auction properties for at least one week, since several Boards will not be able to meet due to Town Meeting this week. Hold auction in July.
Board adjourned to Town Meeting.
